Stride Into 2014
At CBS, we’re always interested in the latest trends. Getting fit and therefore improving your health is a real hot topic at the moment. Research shows our sedentary lifestyles can cause health issues with experts now recommending we take 10,000 steps a day, but this isn’t always easy with a deskbound job or the inclement British weather.
So when several of our clients enquired about treadmill desks, we felt we needed to try this out for ourselves. So for the month of January we have a treadmill desk here on trial and for us to use whilst working and during our lunch hour when the weather is too bad to get outside. With low starting speeds we’ve been able to read, use our mobile phones and even our laptops while walking. Here’s Iain burning 200 calories while checking his emails!
