cbs furnishes offices at new sustainable waste scheme

A joint venture between Grundon Waste Management and Viridor Waste Management, Lakeside Energy from Waste is one of the largest sustainable schemes of its kind.
Expected to start receiving waste later this year, the new facility at Colnbook, near Slough has the capability to process up to 400,000 tonnes of household waste per year. The new plant will burn the residual waste left over after recycling and composting, generating up to 37 MegaWatts of renewable energy, which will be fed back into the National Grid.
CBS was appointed to supply furniture and seating for the new offices at the complex, in clean simple shapes and colours to match the minimalistic style of the architect-led design.
For CBS, the project was an ideal opportunity to reinforce its association with environmentally-led projects within the local community.
